Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things
Over the years, I have come across many people who don’t realize how extraordinary they are. Who are these Extraordinary Women? They could be standing right next to you.
In fact, it IS You.
I am sometimes awestruck by the strength, courage and intelligence of the Women I encounter. And yet the part that I see is just a small portion of these seemingly normal Women’s lives.
For Example, the Lady who is successfully raising her family while working full time at the local school and manages her own business hand crafting educational tools. She does this while lovingly assisting her husband to run his business and painstakingly maintaining a lovely home and garden. Where does she get her energy from?
Another example, the Lady who works tirelessly to give her family what they need, she keeps a healthy and loving relationship with her husband and children, and manages to give time, energy and hands on assistance to those who she sees has no one else to care for them. In her spare time she even manages to volunteer as a cook for a week long youth camp of 100+
Perhaps the biggest example that I have seen played out in my life is this-
The Woman who raised 12 children virtually single handedly, a Master of Economy, a Home Maker of outstanding skill, a Teacher who taught most of her children to read very early, a devoted mother who woke her young children at 5.30am every morning to take them to the gym to help one of the youngest (who was struck lame by Rheumatic Fever) to grow strong again, a loving grandmother of 25. A woman who works tirelessly for her family and her grandchildren, A Woman of Courage, Conviction and Faith. My Mother.
The point of my story is this- All around us, there are people who are doing the most amazing things. We are surrounded by people who are achieving amazing things, in life, career, family, business, sport, who never recognize their own worth.
If you could see ourselves through the eyes of others of those who are close to us, would you be amazed just how much we are admired, respected and loved?
This actually brings me to the other point of my story – REWARDING THYSELF. As we each are remarkable, unique, hardworking and very special, why do we find it hard sometimes to see the value of what we do and achieve?
Completing our 6 Week Challenge is an achievement and you DESERVE A REWARD for being courageous and strong. What will your reward be?
